SELBYVILLE - Hilda Ennis, Selbyville, passed away on Wednesday, November 26, 2014, just three weeks after celebrating her 89th birthday with her family. Hilda was born Hilda Mae Murray, in Williamsville, Del., on November 8, 1925. 

She was employed as a cafeteria worker at Showell Elementary School, Selbyville. She enjoyed gardening, doing arts and crafts and caring for her dog, Beasley.

 She is survived by a son, Thomas Ennis, his wife Lynne; a granddaughter, Natalie Engh, her husband, Andy; great grandchildren, Thomas Ennis, Emily and Ryan Engh; a sister, Ruth Fairall, Scottsdale, Arizona. She was preceded by her husband, Raymond; a grandson, Ray; sisters, Alberta and Myrtle; and brothers, Russell and Preston. 

Funeral Services will be 1 p.m., Monday, December 1, 2014 in the Chapel of Short Funeral Services, Inc., 609 E. Market Street, Georgetown where friends may call at 12 p.m. Interment will follow at Redman's Cemetery in Dagsboro. Pastor Bradford Dennis will be officiating.
