August 20, 1941 – March 5, 2016 DAGSBORO - Thomas E. "Tom" Ennis, of Dagsboro passed away just before sunrise March 5, 2016 at his home with family by his side. He was born in Showell, Md. later moving to Philadelphia, Pa. where he attended Olney High School. He was a veteran having served with the National Guard, The U.S. Navy, and 39 years as a Merchant Marine. He was a member of the American Legion, Post 28 of Millsboro, Del. Tom enjoyed spending time with his family and his dogs, Brandi and Mugsy. He looked forward to camping and NASCAR races. He was a Phillies fan and enjoyed listening to baseball games and the Golden Oldies on his radio. His sense of humor continued throughout his long term illness.
 He was predeceased by a son, Ray; and his parents, Hilda and Raymond Ennis of Selbyville, Del. He is survived by his wife of over 50 years, Lynne; and his daughter, Natalie and her husband, Andy Engh. He adored his grandchildren, Thomas Ennis and Emily and Ryan Engh. Funeral services will be held Wednesday, March 9, 2016 at 1 p.m. in the chapel of Short Funeral Services, 609 E.
