R. Victor Evans Jr., 80

R. Victor Evans Jr., 80, of Selbyville, Del., passed away Saturday, April 18,
2009, at Peninsula Regional Medical Center, Salisbury, Md.

He had been a poultry farmer for many years and also a bus driver for the Indian
River School District for 30 years. He was a member of the Delaware Farm Bureau
and was a member of the Roxana Wesleyan Church in Roxana, where he had been on
the board for many years and started the Bus Ministry at the church.

Evans was predeceased by his parents, Herman Victor Evans Sr. and Mary Irene
Evans; his wife, Hilda M. Evans; and brother Walter Evans. He is survived by two
sons, David H. Evans of Selbyville and Larry B. Evans of Greenville, N.C.; five
grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren.

Services were scheduled for Wednesday, April 22, 2009, with interment in
Bishopville Cemetery in Bishopville, Md. In lieu of flowers, the family suggests
donations to Roxana Wesleyan Church; 35175 Roxana Rd.; Frankford, DE 19945.
