Jehu B. Warrington Seaford-A good man was lost on Wednesday, March 18, 2015. Jehu Bennett Warrington of Seaford, Delaware died after loosing his two-year battle with lung cancer. Jehu was wrapped in the loving arms of his wife, Shirley, of 58 years as she sang softly to him- his family witnessed their timeless devotion to each other. Jehu Bennett Warrington was born on August 29, 1933 in Selbyville, Delaware to James and Amanda Warrington. He graduated from Selbyville Senior High in 1951. At 18, he was drafted into the US Army where he served admirably during the Korean War. When he returned to Selbyville, he married the love of his life, Shirley Jane Gray, and they moved to Seaford into the Willey family (Shirley's Grandmother's) home on Cannon Street after Jehu accepted a position with the DuPont Company. In 1958, they were blessed with a son, Gray Bennett Warrington. Later in 1958, he applied to and was hired by the Bank of Delaware (PNC). He rose in prominence to the position of Bank Manager as his work ethic and way of judging character proved successful for the Bank. He became a respected Life Member of the Seaford Volunteer Fire Department, Chairman for the United Way, Board member for Nanticoke Memorial Hospital, active member of the Lions Club, Chamber of Commerce, American Bankers Association, and Seaford Golf & Country Club. He retired in 1996 as Vice President after 38 years in Banking. He then earned his Real Estate license and joined Calloway, Farnell and Moore. Jehu continued helping in the community as a Board member for the new Senior Center. He was an avid golfer, rabbit hunter, and loved boating, fishing and the beach in Fenwick Island, Delaware. More importantly than his successful career, Jehu was happiest when spending time with family and friends. He is survived by his wife, Shirley; son and daughter in law, Gray and Julie Warrington of Magnolia, Delaware; three granddaughters, Amanda Warrington LaPenta and her husband, Dante LaPenta of Wilmington Delaware, Morgan Warrington of Reston, Virginia, Rebecca Warrington of Plainsboro, New Jersey, and one great-grandson, Carmine Bennett LaPenta. Jehu also has a sister, Wanda Burleson, his late sister, Donna Sturgis' husband, James Sturgis, and many wonderful friends. Please join the family at St. Johns United Methodist Church (300 N.
