Harriet E. Wingate, age 92,of Frankford, passed away on Monday, November 4, 2013 at the Atlantic Shores Nursing Home in Millsboro.

Harriet was born in Selbyville, DE daughter of the late, Irving and Anna (Hudson) Murray.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, George W. Wingate, Sr., in 1986. She is survived by her children, George W. Wingate, Jr. (Lois), David Wingate (Susan), Ruth Ann Marvel, Nancy Steele and Virginia Rickards (Allan); her sisters, Agnes Melson, Barbara Jean Franklin and Betty Lou Townsend; ten grandchildren; 11 great grandchildren and two great great grandchildren.

A funeral service will be held on Thursday, November 7th at 1:00 p.m. at the chapel of Melson Funeral Services on 43 Thatcher Street in Frankford, where friends may call after 12:00 noon. Burial will be in St. George's Cemetery in Clarksville.

In lieu of flowers, the family suggests memorial contributions in Harriet's memory to, St. George's United Methodist Church, 34281 Omar Rd, Frankford, DE. 19945.
