The Golden Thoroughbreds 50-Year reunion was held at the Hyatt Regency Resort & Spa and was followed by a cruise. The cruise ship was the Royal Caribbean Enchantment of the Seas which departed from Ft. Lauderdale on Monday Sept 14th having stops in Key West, Cozumel and Belize. The weather was VERY hot, even by Florida standards.
A reunion video is available. It consists of two professionally-made, high quality DVDs containing about two hours of video. A reunion book Moments to Remember is also available. The book includes stories and color photos along with addresses, phone numbers and e-mail addresses of those known. It also includes highlights submitted from the “Classmates Information Sheet” and advertising of classmates' businesses. An "In Memoriam" list of known-to-be-deceased Thoroughbreds is included as is a "Where Are They" list of the missing. If you attended the reunion or sent in payment for the book, you should have received it in the mail. Extra copies are available. If you wish to buy one, send $10 payment to:

If you do not wish to or haven't purchased the DVDs, you can see the footage here. The video has been divided into 10-minute clips to facilitate downloading to your computer. I had to make compromising adjustments to the video quality to screen display size to enable this. Even still, if you don't have a fairly high-speed broadband internet connection, or, if you lack certain software, you may have difficulty viewing the clips.
